Sports Injuries-Concussions

Injuries in sports are no joke. They can take you out of the sport and possibly cause life long problems. Specifically concussions. Recently after being concussed while snowboarding I have been more interested about how it affects my brain. A concussion is a Traumatic Brain Injury or a TBI. All of them are serious, some more than other.  According to studies, someone who has suffered from a concussion is 3 to 6 times more likely to suffer from another than a person who has never had one. After suffering recurrent concussions symptoms tend to last much longer. If you have symptoms of a concussion consult your doctor immediately, possible bleeding in the brain may occur.
